Jaxsons in Lake Placid

Nice place, located off Lake June in Lake Placid. Food was excellent and service was just as good. Reasonable prices and ample parking. Smoking permitted in outside designated smoking place. Eat indoors or out on their back patio. ✌

It was pretty decent. Not fancy by any stretch..nice view from porch but we ate inside. It was pretty noisy, but the music was good if you grew up in the 80s. Some food better than others. Fajitas and chicken philly were good. Patty melt and burger were so so. Service was good. If we are in town again we would probably try again, came recommend from a friend who visits family in Lake Placid and regularly goes here. Fried pickles were really good!!

Best food around service is great

The food was Awesome! The back porch area the day I went was perfect for the weather. I'd give it 5 stars just based on the food, but the building needs some work. Fodd was definitely better than 3 stars!

Nice view, right on the water! Staff were very pleasant. Meals were slightly incorrect (tomatoes lettuce supposed to be on the side but weren't), fish breading too salty, burger a little overdone.

Food was good, atmosphere was what you'd expect...but was shocked when I got the bill. All things are a la carte. $4.50 for as side of sweet potato fries...Really? The burger was $10....

We were there tonight for the cat fish it was delicious. We went with our neighbors. The server was excellent and very attentive. We'll be going back more often.

I’ll never be back in this place. I was in there for almost 2 hours while I ate by myself. The server took 15 minutes before even getting me menus. Then I got a gross appetizer that was drenched in oil and it took 45 minutes. Yes... 45 minutes to get my salad that came with my entree. Then another long wait for my actual entree. When the woman had finally came around after the appetizer and I asked where my food was she responded with oh I didn’t know you were waiting. Then said she was waiting on me to finish before she brought anything out....??? I pushed the plate away and wasn’t eating it because of how nasty it was. The salad was fine. The shrimp though were so overly breaded and battered I wanted to throw it all out. Disgusting food. Terrible service. And they give you canned vegetables. Oh and the woman in 2 hours!!!! Never apologized for the wait.

My wife and I were visiting Lake Placid and decided to have our Valentine's day dinner at a local restaurant. Pull pork nachos sounded really good on Jaxson's website, so we decided to visit and arrived around 8pm. We were promptly greeted and drinks order taken. After 10-15 minutes, our drinks arrived (it wasn't that busy and lots of waitresses were just standing around around the bar). After another 10 minutes went by and no one came over to take our order, we decided to leave. As we walked out, we passed the bar area where must of the waitresses were gathering including the lady that had taken our drinks order and no one said a word. I hope this was just a bad day for this business, but there was no sense of urgency from the staff to serve us.

Just went to Jaxson’s for the first time last night and it was great! Food was delicious and came out quick. I be coming back for more real soon.

Had the crab cake appetizer. It was decent. The ahi tuna was very tender n delicious. Sushi grade. Had the pesto grilled chicken. Tender as well. Soup was definitely homemade n delicious. The rib eye was disappointing. Fatty all throughout n tough. My 93 year old father in law said one of the worst steaks he's had. May go back to try the burgers. View out back was a nice one of the lake. Inside was noisy. A place where the locals go.

Wife and I both had the worst prime rib ever. Tough to even cut with a knife and it was rare! Stick with the deep fried bar food.

My food order was lost. My meat was bloody and was supposed to be well doneOthers were almost done eating when I finally got it. Waittrss was very nice. I didn't even want to take it home. She got it taken off my bill. I gave her a nice tip.

It was delicious! The service was good and a nice view loved it thank you!

Great lunch with the wife. I had the fish sandwich which was huge and delicious, my wife had the steak sandwich which she really liked. Will be back again the next time I'm in the area.

Had clam strips an cauliflower cheese bites..very good, crunchy fresh not greasy. Hubby had grouper fingers, he cleaned his plate. Great service, great views

I've never had a bad meal at Jaxson's. Great food, reasonable prices, daily specials, and awesome people.

Quick stop for a bite to eat. Great food (Catfish and Hookie) and service from Madison was awesome! Will stop in again when in the area.

Went there tonight.(been on vaca in Lake Placid since mid January)I had pork chop dinner and it was EXCELLENT, My Wife had Grouper and it was awesome as well. Everything was cooked perfect and served by a very nice young lady named Kaylee (I believe). We will be back again this week and would highly recommend this place. Top Notch

The place was empty, but service was extremely slow. Server said they were short-handed in the kitchen. It was a charming hole-in-the-wall place, but it had a funky, icky smell. After waiting too long, the food was not hot and the yellow rice was overcooked. Too bad, looked like a fun place. I wouldn't mind sitting at the bar and having a drink, but won't eat here again.

All you can eat catfish!! Melts in your mouth. Go early because the place gets busy and the kitchen can’t keep up. Plan to stay awhile if you get there between 5:30 and 6:30.

We had a group of 10. They seated us and had excellant fried mushrooms and great entrees. No complaints. Good experience.

Very busy place tonight...karaoke with a lot of singers...very pleasant waitresses...nice menu, but I didn't eat...

Very poor unusual drinks. Ordered a 7-7. First time got whiskey & water. Took it back. Brought back whiskey & gingerale. Waitress said they only have gingerale. That is just the way they fix drinks. ?? If you are going to drink there, better drink beer. Food was hot & good.....

Great place for lunch with great service

Fantastic spot! The food was great. The service was great. What more can I say? It's not fancy, but neither am I. I'm here visiting the area for the next few days and will for sure be going back during my stay.

It was awesome food! Kinda bar style mixed with home style! It was straight up delicious! The pulled pork nachos are the bomb like they're the best pulled pork nachos I've ever had! The creamy pepper beef/steak soup was great too!

Every time I go to visit my siblings in Florida I eat my stomach full. Tried the fish in other restaurants but the all you can eat special is unbeatable. Server was very accommodating for my fast refills. One night dinner dates with any woman that would eat catfish.

Food & service was wonderful. Great atmosphere and live music. Such a cool vibe this place has. Yellowfin tuna was fantastic. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

A*M*A*Z*I*N*G... food fantastic I had the smokey mountain chicken and my daughter had the stack alfredo and my husband a wrap. We also shared the pulled pork nachos and cauliflower bites and finished the night with a fried cheesecake with strawberries and chocolate... service friendly and very helpful.... ambience (outside patio) Beautiful......my only complaint was the single ply bathroom tissue. No really this place was amazing such a great find for my birthday dinner

I celebrated my 50th Birthday here with reservations of 32 people. I do not know where to begin, Decorations, Name on Marque, Excellent Service, Excellent Food, Excellent value and most of all, They Really cared and it showed.THANK YOU to Everyone who helped Bobbi the owner. I am overwhelmed on what they did, words can not explain. Thank You for making my day Special!!!
